Have you heard the buzz... Target has partnered with Kate Young and she is creating a semi-formal and special-occasion collection of dresses, just in time for prom! Scheduled to arrive in stores April 14th, this line will be priced more inline with the Target customer and brand.
While I have read comments from the doubts of another designer partnership so closely after the ill-fated Neiman Marcus line for Holiday 2012, I think the price point will be a big draw to the Kate Young + Target's success: $29.99 to $89.99. And while they will not be created with real silk, embellished through the art of hand-beading or shine with 18-karat gold, girls this age generally don't repeat special-occasion outfits, opting to trade it with a friend, donate or pass down to a sibling.
In addition to the clothes, there will be an accessories line too, $14.99 to $49.99 for jewelry, handbags and shoes, which will be available online only. What are your thoughts about the sketches? Do you see something that catches your fancy?
xoxo
