We stayed at the Hilton in Pasadena during our booth attendance for iMATS LA 2012.  It was by far, one of the best hotel experiences that I have had. Only beaten by The Hard Rock in Tampa during a Dave Matthews Concert.  The room was awesome, the Bar was fab and the 2 ladies that ran the bar were both superb!  Peter, the driver took exceptional care of all the guests and knew so much about the town - he gave us a fabulous history lessen every time he drove us to and fro the hotel.   As far back as I can remember I have taken the provided toiletries during my hotel stays. I found it to be an opportunity to try products that I normally would have not been able to test out, usually because the full sizes of the samples are out of my budget.  Guess it is fair to say that I have always been fascinated with samples!

I figured it out. Birchbox should decrease the size of their box, perhaps to one like BeautyBox5.  That way it won't look so empty when you open it to discover a ziplock bag, shimmery hair spray and the wrapped something something.   Another 'where's the rest' moment.  I was pretty happy with the contents of my box this month. I wasn't out to purchase this lipstick, I needed to spend $150 to meet Tim Gunn and the necklace that I selected was only $128.  I feel like this lippy found me. Named Fuchsia Fete, the unscented formula is housed in a goldtone vessel which locks closed.  Simply press the base of the lippy till it makes a light clicking noise and releases the tube.  A gentle pull reveals Pucker Up! on the casing and a lovely shade of pink.   With moderate coverage, this shade of pink would work well on multiple skin tones and is perfect for Spring and Summer!

I purchased Bikini So Tiny during my last Ulta haul.  So Springy, so fabulous. I started off as I always do with 1 coat of Nail Foundation by butterLONDON & a 1 minute wait. I applied 3 coats of Bikini So Tiny with 2 minutes drying between each. When I do it again, I'll use only 2; it looked too thick with 3. I finished my mani with 1 coat of Hardware, also by butterLONDON .  From the 2012 Summer Collection, Bikini So Tiny is a lightly sparkling cornflower blue. I see more lavender than I do country kitchen. I am so in love with this shade that I contemplated wearing it again when I did my polish switch 4 days later!   I had $3.00 to save in Ulta with a $15 purchase and I was in the market for Rainbow in the S-Kylie.  Sold out everywhere, it was selling on eBay for $25 a bottle. Yikes!
