Westfield Style Beauty Haul: A day at Valley Fair

Time for the Winter 2014  +Nordstrom  Beauty Trend Show. With  +Franci  by my side, we sat front row enjoying an unobstructed view of the latest work, play and holiday fashion as well as makeup and skincare specialties from the beauty department. We're always treated to a shopping tote of varying kind with water, juice, coffee and mini muffins and fruit to satisfy early morning hunger.

Strawberries + Cream, a LUSH -ous experience.

Blended with  real, organic bananas for moisture, vanilla pods and vanilla extract to combat redness, lemon oil to brighten, and sandalwood to tone,  Sympathy for the Skin  is a very mellow and creamy hand and body lotion .  Don't worry this isn't a fruit salad,  it is very mild in scent. I detect more vanilla bean than banana. The custard consistency is creamier than Dream Cream yet it sinks in just as quickly. I love how it makes my shoulders and arms feel, highly moisturizing yet never greasy.

A Lush-ious Haul; Toothy Tabs and Toner.

After the third Chou Chou I Love You Toothy Tab , I was hooked. I am demonstrating this by the haul I made at +Westfield Valley Fair   +LUSH Cosmetics North America  where I added Atomic , Sparkle and Breath of God in addition to Tea Tree Water spray toner. If you know me, you know I adore facial mists and this is one is already becoming my new fave. First up, Sparkle . Sweet vanilla flavor with a hint of Sicilian lemon and grapefruit. While Sparkle is this location's #1 seller, I find the black pepper aftertaste too overpowering and a turn off. I won't repurchase this flavour. $4.95. Vegan

Lush: A Cosmetics Haul, part deux. Review and Swatches

I grabbed a few treats from the new Lush vegan c osmetics line, a lipstick and an eyeshadow. Super excited to wear my new treasures to work the next day, I came home to swatch the shades and unfortunately discovered that my eyeshadow has been tested by another customer in the store. Refusing to put something on my eye that was probably touching someone elses dirty hand, I returned the shadow and exchanged it for the Eyes Right mascara. A more appropriate choice for me, anyway .
