Bite Beauty is an all-natural lip care company operating out of downtown Toronto. Our mission is to create lipstick that is high performance and healthy enough to eat for women everywhere. Tell me if you've heard this one: I had a gift card to S ephora burning a hol e in my pocket .... ;) I am always looking for something new to try, especially lipsticks. It is really the only makeup item that I am crazy about.   What intrigued me the most about B ITE Beauty : This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term antiaging benefits. Each lipstick contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine. Many moons ago I had a lipstick by Versace in the most amazing sh ade of plum . Unfortunately the cosmetic line was discontinued shortly after Gianni Versace death and I have been on the hunt for a dupe ever since. Me et Barolo , my new perfect shade of plum.

I had no idea how coveted this lipstick was until I posted a swatch on Beautylish. Rouge Volupté #4 is known as Honey and is the ultimate nude lipstick. Super creamy , very pigmented and very glo ssy , t he Rouge Volupté collection is create d with Mango oil which giv es the li psticks a sweet scent and slick feel. The colour payoff is incredible. It only takes one swipe per lip for awesome coverage and *truth be told* this is my go-to base shade for my lip glosses. Especially YSL Golden Gloss in #2 . The shade is too much like my skin tone and I look unbelieveabl y washed out when I wear this alon e , so I don't. This lipstic k is very moisturizing and very lightweight. T he creamy finish is more oily th an buttery feeling, to me. And I find it does not last as long as it claims but it does not feather off of my lips nor does it oxidize to a different s hade: it is tube true throughout it's entire w ear. I can honestly say that my lips feel softer after w earing ...

Perfe ctly described as a red coral with a slight shimmer, Folk is a moisturizin g formula from Makeup For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural collection . It is also my first Makeup For Ever lipstick purchase. This lightweight lipstick has a very comfortable application, it glides on smoothly and finishes creamy . Folk stayed colour true and did not flake or feather off of my mouth yet it did not wear as long as some of my other lipsticks , I needed to reapply Folk earlier and more often. Plus, I noticed that it develops this 'powdery' feeling once it starts to wear o ff . Not that there is anything wrong with that, just a different feeling It features modera te coverage and the shimmer is just a touch of something special, it does not look like glitter nor is it a frosty finish , just a simple dimensional shine.  

  This is creamy luxe. A buttery feeling that makes me want to rub my lips together, as if I am rubbing a moisturizer deep into my skin. I purchased Nia gara by NARS last year, about this same time and this is the first time that it has been used. Spring always make me think of pinks and oranges and with the announcement yesterday that Punxsutawney Phil is welcoming Spring early, I thought I would offer some Spring time inspiration! I'm pretty sure that this is the first NARS lipstick that I have purchased. And what a way to start! The shade looks to be more matte in the tube but has a nice shine once on my lips. It glides on smoothly and comfortably. There is no odor or taste and Niagara stays colour-true through its wear. It did not feather or drift off of my lips and suffered minimal transfer - I had to reapply no more or less than other lipsticks.

Not only is this my second #28Kisses post,    today is my birthday ! WOOT!! I was excited to make Cupcake my first Too Faced lipstick purchase. Drenched in shea butter, rich color, and diamond shine, our exclusive formula smoothes out fine lines and creases while it pampers your lips with a flavorful moisture surge of pure champagne essences. This shade is a pale bubblegum pink with s ilve r shimmer . Once on, i t is very creamy and su per comfortable feeling but I notice when I first apply Cupcake it has a gritty texture in the tube but that feeling does not transfer to my lips Nor do I find it unco mfortable - it is not like I am being scratched, it is simply so mething I noti ce. I'm thinking it is the shea butter.

It's rare that you love a vessel in a way that it completes the experience and needs to be mentioned. The com pact, bullet - style tube features exclusive Besame artwork on the golden cover and opens to reveal a chis eled red lipstick. This is a lipstick that I would expect to find on my Grandmother's vanity. Not that it is 'old la dy' but the design is era appropriate. I f I were to see this as a little girl, my shy inquisitive self would 'borrow' it, put it on, try to remove the evidence, replace the tube and deny the incident. And treasure every minute of it. Unable to locate my lip brush, I take full advantage of the sharp angle that the tip of this lipstick provides. I start by lining the top of my bow, then the bott om of my bow, then I fi ll in my lips. I learn the hard way that you should not roll your lips with this product in order to distribute it 's cover a ge. Appl y. Blot. Wait 2 minutes and apply a second coat. The colour is rich, ...
