Over the Top, Gatsby style

Yes, there is a difference between Over The Top root lift spray and 'hairspray '. Holding the can about 3" away, I spray directly at my roots and use my fingers in a shake-lift motion to lift my hair adding height and volume. Over The Top does not leave my hair or fingers sticky like hairspray, it feels more like it has been treated with a dry shampoo that stiffens. Like all GG Gatsby products, this root lifting spray smells like a very light citrus floral. UV filters protect colour from fading and it is p araben and phthalate free . Since I am channeling David Bowie , Over The Top is my new 4.5 star BFF! And my hair even matches the can! Shazam! I won this $12.99 wonder from a GG Gatsby Instagram giveaway and I will absolutely replenish once it is gone. Or they have a sale I can't resist! And since it is available in Target, replenishment just became easier!! xoxo •Nancy-Lee

Keeping Blonde with Kérastase Résistance Force Architecte

As I write this post, I have gone platinum. It was a 7.5 hour long, very expensive process. And it doesn't end when I walk out the salon door. Specialized upkeep for my intensely processed hair starts with ELIXIR ULTIME , a versatile nourishing oil that provides ultimate shine, softness and nourishment for all hair types - especially mine: a quad bleached platinum 'do. This isn't your typical styling oil. I use it as a pre-cleanse treatment: Apply to brushed hair and rinse out before applying shampoo to remove impurities. For all hair types, this treatment is designed to add softness and strength while smoothing my hair as it Promotes cellular renewal with its anti-oxidant active ingredients blend of four precious scented oils. A 2012 Best of Beauty Allure Award Winner . 50ML $25.00 The key technology is the OLEO-COMPLEXE : Maize Oil: Delivers emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine   Pracaxi Oil: Brings shine, nourishment and deep condi...

Rejuvenating Shampoo by Macadamia Hair

This shampoo contains two of the world's rarest revitalizing hair oils among its ingredients: Macadamia and Argan. It returns the necessary moisture level back to the hair , which becomes dry after cleansing with chemical based shampoos, with it's 6.5 pH level. The shampoo also protects your shiny hair from environmental pollutants. Macadamia Hair's Rejuvenating Shampoo is sulfate and paraben free. Since it gently cleanses with very low lather, it is perfect for chemically treated, dry or damaged hair. Replenishes moisture with no heavy build-up while your hair is protection from harsh daily environmental element. I use the same amount of this shampoo as I would any other. A pearlized product, it smells a bit floral - not at all like the Healing Oil Treatment , which is very spicy. This shampoo offers a very low lather, so be careful to not overuse it, you will simply waste your shampoo. I have colour treated, bleached hair, so it is not only a bit fragile, it is bl...

Joico: A Violet Haul

The first thing my new hairdresser said to me was to buy violet shampoo. See, I'm working my way blonde again and I'm planning on going pretty light - I do not want to wreck my hearty investment over something as si mple as crummy water or the wrong haircare. After all, I didn't pay for the brassy blonde, I paid for the platinum version! Introduced to Joico by BeautyARMY, I was trolling our twitter line one day and saw @Joico ask their followers what was your favourite Joico item. @SammehJKay responded: Violet shampoo & conditioner.. WHAT?!!!  I need this in my life! @SammehJKay tells me that it is better than some toners she has used. I'm sold. I run to Ulta the next day and score on the Buy2Get1Free sale: 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner. Perfectly purple, I have used it once so far and am in total love.  A very low later, it smells amazing, cleans thoroughly and moisturizes lightly; my hair did not feel weighed down by product. Super excited to have found not on...
