I won a super cool giveaway with +LATHER and +Core Power Yoga that included 1 month of unlimited CPY classes. Challenge accepted.
Today I jumped in head first and went with Yoga Sculpt. Turns out you should do a few other Core Power Yoga classes, first, to prepare yourself for this class.
When muscle meets yoga, Sculpt is born. Boost metabolism and build lean muscle mass as you move to upbeat tracks. You’ll combine free weights with CorePower Yoga 2 (C2) sequencing and cardio to intensify each pose while mixing in strength-training moves like squats, lunges and bicep curls. It is recommended that you take at least one CorePower level 1 or 2 (C1 or C2) class before a Yoga Sculpt class.
Missed that part.
The balance of a yoga + pilates blend while managing free weights in a humid room is a new level for me. I love stretching, strength training and I actively perform HIIT sequences with +Fitness Blender, however, this class kicked my ass. In a really good way. I love pushing my body to the next level : It's when you want to give up that the magic happens, and if you can push through that mental wall, the pain subsides and you will see the results you are seeking. I know this is fact because I see those results within myself.
I am not a sugarcoater.
This is not a class for beginners.
There is a lot going on at once and it all happens to different decibels of EDM. If you want to test the waters visit www.CorePowerYoga.com and try 1 week for free. I suggest beginning with CorePower Yoga 1, which is where I'll be, tomorrow:
"Unroll your mat for an invigorating full-body flow where you’ll explore the postures and fundamental principles of Vinyasa yoga. Set to inspiring tunes, this foundation-building class will work every muscle through movement and breath at a moderate, but intuitive pace."
Meet me on the mat.
