  It was mini-Missoni-madness! The doors opened promptly at 8:00am and people RAN to the racks. They came in groups - some to secure the products and some to secure a cart to carry it all! It was a bit insane, people pushing and shoving and worse: dropping clothing to the floor and stepping all over it. An employee tried to tell ppl to be respectful but it fell on deaf ears. I was embarrassed to be honest. I mean, they are clothes. This is the epitome of first world problems.

From the 2013 Neons collection, Bouncer, It's me! an intensely vivid blue. Just like Shake Your Money Maker from the same collection, it is gel like in it's application and requires 3 coats for opacity. In the image below, I show you what 1 coat looks like. this polish is very streaky. It also takes a while to cure so I smudged my thumb nail. I added a 4th coat on my thumb to fix the oopsie before I took the picture on the left. This is a sexy shade of blue, almost cobalt. It dries with a matte, slightly dull finish so I topped it off with Hardwear by Butter London , a high shine, quick dry topcoat.

Every so often I like to open a can of get it done and when I do, I can always count on Home Depot to make my DIY dreams come to life. Case in point, my 14 year old console table. An impulse purchase from a Pottery Barn floor sample sale, this table cost me $67 and has been a workhorse from day one. When I trecked from Florida to California, it came with me and it arrived damaged from the cheap moving company I used. It sat in my garage for 2 years until one day I decided to refinish it.

I purchased this limited edition nail polish a few months ago and I hate to say, I forgot to swatch it. I decided to move forward with this post since it is still available on Amazon. I am celebrating the 2013-2014 opening game of the Oakland Raiders with this awesome black lacquer. Drop Dead Gorgeous is a creamy opaque black whose finish comes to life with the addition of silver shimmer. In the vessel, it reminds me of diamond dust nail polish.

It all happened when I went to Swatch to to take advantage of the free Dr. Swatch battery swaps. Headed back to my car I passed Victoria's Secret and BAM! #RaiderNation gear! I was pretty excited to see the Raiders tops in person as I find the Pink collection is not consistent with sizing. Case in point, I had to return my medium for a small. This dusty black pullover features a slight ombre and is crafted of a cotton polyester blend. With long sleeves, this lightweight tee is very soft and lands just past my hips. Retailing for $49.50, order 1 size down. It did not shrink when washed.

The application of this lacquer was unlike any Essie shade I have applied, it was more like the consistency of a Deborah Lippmann ; jelly-like. Matte in the finish, the first coat of Shake Your Money Maker was very streaky. You are going to want to apply 3 thin strokes of this polish and build the coverage. It took 3 coats for me to achieve the level of opacity I was looking for. I added a Hardwear , a high-shine topcoat by Butter London to punch this shade up a notch and extend the wear. It lasted 2.5 days before it chipped and did not stain my nails upon removal 4 days after application. I started with Nail Foundation base coat by Butter London . It took a while for Shake Your Money Maker to cure. In the meantime, I smudged 4 nails. womp womp . This is a rich attention grabbing shade and I am looking forward to wearing it again.
