I felt 'forced' to make a purchase in order of maintaining my Sephora VIB status. I had to spend $70 in the next 35 days and knowing I can level up to Rouge next year I had to shelf the conflict of not wanting to lose my current position with not needing to buy more beauty products. Fortunately that $20 gift card came my way and I sucked it up and pulled the plug on a final 2013 purchase. It wouldn't have left such an aftertaste of regret had every single box not been opened, as evident by the torn corners. Just leads a gal to wonder where they were before my house. *shivers* Anyhoo...

  I had to return the pink train case that I ordered from Sephora.com and I can't simply return things to Sephora - I have to exchange them.  Which always leads to me spending more then the returned amount. I knew that I would have $60 to 'spend' as that was the cost of the traincase and I knew one item that I wanted specifically: DERMAdoctor MEDeTATE .  I suffer hyperhidrosis and these do wonders for me - they truly prevent the sweat from running down my arm.  Which is not sexy at all.   1 month supply, 30 packettes for $48.  Yep, I spend nearly $600 a year on prestige deodorant.  Because aside from Botox injections into my arm pits, this is the only thing that works.

You know me, I can't resist FREE.  It should have been my middle name so when Sephora sent me a coupon for 15% off and a FREE umbrella, I knew I had to pounce!  I was in the market for one of the Pantone for Sephora lipsticks and luckily for me, they were in stock!  And extra lucky for me?  Who knew my free umbrella would come with 5 free friends! Let me super honest, I have only cashed my 500 points once.  I used to cash out once I got to 100 points and add another deluxe sample to my order.  But having to taking a shopping hiatus due to unemployment, my points sat. And sat and sat and sat. Until one day I was in my local store grabbing my Birthday shower gel and making a small purchase where the cashier alerted my I had just crossed the 500 points, would I like to redeem my points.  I was pretty shocked at the freebie: It contained a full size blusher retailing at $28.00!
