I love facial masks. They force me to stop and have some real me time. Having reviewed an anti-aging mask by Skinvel, they asked me to review their new whitening sheet masks and I jumped at the chance. I was sent one Kit, which contains a week's worth of masks - it is recommended to use this 3 times per week until you achieve optimum lightening. I am a perfect candidate for this trial because I am quite pale and have sun damage which looks like excessive freckles.
The results were super impressive after only 1 mask, I can only imagine what my freckles would look like after a full month of use. The box is where you are going to find the instruction in English. The packettes the masks are in do not have English directions and left me quite puzzled. See, I didn't realize that the mask was housed between 2 protectors. First I applied the cloth cover but it was too firm and wouldn't mold to my face, so that was not it... I picked the plastic cover back up and almost threw it all away, thinking it was a fail when my thumb happen to move something attached to this cover... Ahhaa!!

This is not your typical cloth mask, mainly because it is not cloth, it is a bio-cellulose. A material that is ultra fine yet strong, has a fluid-holding capacity of up to 100 times it's dry weight and is capable of transferring nutrients deep into skin structure. Bio-cellulose has an affinity to human skin; It has been successfully used as artificial skin for burn treatments. The sheet is very thin and looks like heavy duty saran wrap. The first thought I had was it looked like 'fake skin'.

I start by washing my face with gentle cleanser and pat dry. The mask is very easy to apply but does not fit my face properly. The opening for my eyes was not big enough and when I tried to cover the lines running from the corners of my nose to the edge of my upper lip, the mask covered part of my mouth.
It was lightly scented and drenched in serum. I take this opportunity to lie down and relax, as it says to wear this treatment for 20 minutes. I fall asleep and wake up 40 minutes later! The mask is very easy to remove, there was no dripping of product, after I removed the mask I rubbed the remaining serum into my face and went about the rest of my day. I immediately notice my skintone is even and brightened. Dare I say, bleached. My sun damage is not as visible as my true freckles and I like the alabaster tone against my platinum hair.
