Designed for oily to combination skins, I chose Iris Hydrating Facial Lotion as part of my February BeautyARMY Kit. Even though this is my first time trying a Weleda product, I decided to give it a test while attending iMATS LA. The sample size was appropriate for travel and the provided amount allowed me to use it the entire time I was in Pasadena.
I usually moisturize with pure oil so I admit I was a bit skeptical about this lotion and whether it would leave a greasy residue on my face but thankfully, it did not. It absorbed quickly and completely and I felt comfortable all day.
I squeeze out a pea-sized amount on to my fingertips and rubbed my hands together to distribute the product evenly and applied the lotion to my face by lightly patting. Patting instead of rubbing increases circulation while decreasing additional sebum output. I complete my eye makeup giving the moisturizer time to absorb then complete my facial makeup. Even thought I was working a trade show, I didn't have to repowder any more or less than I usually do.
I am very happy with this sample and I am grateful for the opportunity to try it through BeautyARMY. I will finish the tube but I am not likely make a purchase of a full size as I am very happy with my current moisturizer. Retailing for $20 for 1floz, I rate Weleda's Iris Hydrating Facial Lotion a 4 out of 5 stars. Looking for readily available natural skincare collection? You've found Weleda.
