I tip the bottle twice onto my cotton round. Not saturating, just 2 damp spots. I was afraid that my skin would feel sticky after the application since there wouldn't be an evaporation period due to the lack of alcohol, but it didn't feel that way. As an oily skin the last thing I want to feel is sticky residue after I washed all the grime off. I actually enjoy the addition of alcohol; I like the coolness and the quick dry-down time. Not only do I feel comfortably hydrated, this product does dry down completely.
My moisturizer just melted in and dried down the same way it did with Clarifying Lotion and I applied my serums in order with no complications. It has a very gentle refreshing scent. Not perfumie, completely natural, slightly herbal slightly floral.
I also love that the vessel is glass. Glass can be recycled 25 - 35 times where as plastic looses stability after a few reuses. Some people are afraid of glass vessels for fear they will drop it and break, rendering the contents useless but I challenge you - how often do you drop your toner bottle?
I use this 2 - 3 times per day, following my cleanser / Clarisonic. I will absolutely rebuy this toner, it is my new skin care staple and I am lucky enough to be able to run to my local Beauty 360 located inside CVS in Campbell, CA. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars. One of the best products that I have used in a long time. xoxo.
