Klout Perk: Essie Polish

I am diving into gorgeous colour with this obsession-worthy bright orange, which was a gift from Klout and Essie Polish.  They sent various full size bottles of the varnish to those considered influential in beauty.  I received "Fear or Desire" with the Beauty Army account and my alter-ego received Bikini So Tiny after that line in California Girls that Snoop Dog raps.. . which I have promised to send to @_Pretty_Pisces since she wasn't able to score one.   The 2012 Summer collection consists of: • Bikini So Tiny • Cascade Cool • All Tied Up • Off the Shoulder • Fear or Desire • Mojito Madness Did you receive one of these nail polishes? Which one? Are you on Klout? If not, here is your invite! Tweet me at @fashionCHICsta when you join and I will award you +K. xoxo •Nancy-Lee I was given a free product or sample because I'm a Klout Influencer.  I am under no obligation to receive this sample or talk about this company.  I get no additional

Priti NYC: Soy Nail Polish Remover

I was super excited to try this! Not only because it is a 100 % Biodegradable wipe, because it is soy based , non -toxic , not carcinogenic a nd contains 4 ingredients: Methyl Soyate, Dimethyl Adipate, Dimethyl Gluterate, Cymbopogon Flexuosus   Oil - more commonly known as Lemongrass oil.    Priti, a word in Sanskrit with several meanings such as: out of satisfaction, with love and pleasurable sensation. From one of my BeautyBox5 beauty sample subscription boxes, it came in a foil packet, towelette style - like a bbq wipe! BB5 is selling a 10 pack for $10 but I do not see the wipes on PritiNYC's own website. *shrugs*

Indie Lee: The Cleanser

I usually add "Bad Ass" to the title of my Indie Lee products and this one is no exception.  I dropped my other cleanser like a hot potato and replaced it, exclusively, with Indie Lee's The Cleanser.  This makeup remover and facial cleanser is unlike anything else that I have ever used.  It pumps out like pale pink gel but emulsifies into something more like a creamy oil.  And it smells like fresh strawberries.  Real strawberries. Introduced to Indie Lee products through my employment with Beauty Army, I purchased this and several other products because they were recommended to me by Indie, herself.  I figure if they were designed by Indie for her own skin, then I can't go wrong!  And I didn't! See my Indie Lee haul, here!

Housewares Haul: Pier1 Eiffel Tower Candle Holders

Click picture to enlarge. Sometime I like to go to Pier1 for no reason other than to window shop.   This day I made a sweet score.  Most of you don't know, Paris is my favourite place.  Next to New York of course.  Now, I do not collect Eiffel Towers but I have a few special ones and this day I added a few more!  When I first spotted the pair, I instantly thought that they reminded me of old cheap liquor bottles or vintage perfume bottles.  Everyone over 35 is nodding their heads.   They are so unexpected.  So Anthropologie.   And so affordable, $6.95 each.  I can't wait to set my table with my Paris dishes and have silver pillars popping out from these sweet holders! Ooh la la!! xoxo •Nancy-Lee

Spongeables: Pedi-Scrub

Not one to buy random drugstore pedi things, I can't explain why I was so intrigued but I made this purchase at CVS one Sunday.  From a brand called Spongeables this pedi-scrub foot buffer is said to 4 in 1: cleanse, exfoliate, massage and moisturize.  The sponge is is created with a mix of Glycerin, Olive Oil, Shea Butter and Tea Tree Oil and features a slight Lavender scent.  The box states that it will last for 20+ washes.  There is a noticeable pink sponge coated in product.

SunTints Lip Balm by M•A•C

I will be the first to admit that I am not a MAC addict. Actually, I only started using the line about 3 years ago.  I have been a Stila fanatic since 1995 so I wasn't surprised when I came across this gloss, that I had not heard of it until that day I was window shopping at The Cosmetics Company Store .  Super excited to have a balm with a high SPF, I raced home to take these pictures so I can smother my lips with it! The only other balm that I have used is from Clinique SuperBalm and I love it.  I set myself up with an expectation that this balm will live up to the Clinique balm and no.  Unfortunately, I find it's goopy and sticky.  I have way to much product on my lips, so I take it off and try again.  Less product - same result.
