LUSH: A Cosmetics Mini-Haul

For Christmas last year my boyfriend gave me a $50 gift card to Lush. Having discovered this UK cult favourite in 1998 on Kings Road, I have always had a special place in my heart for the homemade treats and treasures they create. Well it's August of the following year and I have yet to use my present. Not because I don't want to buy the entire shop, believe me I do, but I haven't found that item. Then I learned that they were creating a cosmetic line! This is what I was saving my gift card for! Cupcake was the first thing that caught my eye.  A Fresh Face Mask, designed for the inventor's daughter and her friends , for the sufferers of oily or spotty skin. Cupcake is a cocoa concoction with spearmint oil to cool, vanilla absolute to calm redness and Rhassoul mud to deeply cleanse. Review to follow, shortly . And there it was. The colour wheel that I have played with online. Hidden inside are the testers - and did I test. I think I tried 7 shades of lipstick,

LA Fresh: Instant Body Soother review

LA Fresh, a BeautyARMY Brand Partner, was offering an incentive to sign up on their emailing list: Score a free pack of Instant Body Soother wipes. After LA Fresh tweaked their website to offer discounted shipping on the free wipes, I ended up paying a total of $1.26, delivered. How? I added the $9.99 wipes to may cart and used the special code given to me for registering, which was valued at $13.98. The excess discount was applied to the $5.95 shipping fee = $1.26. The marketing ploy worked - I will buy another set!

Ulta: A Macadamia Hair Haul

Yeah yeah, I had a coupon to Ulta and wanted a macadamia hair masque packette!! I had a $3.50 coupon and thought, this would be the perfect time to get a mask packette and another Spongeables with GWP.... Not so much. The Spongeables GWP set was sold out but there was a better deal in store for me. I had to spend $10 to use my coupon and the Spongeables was 'out' so the next best thing: the Masque packette, $4 and a 2oz Rejuvenating Shampoo for $6.00.  While I was checking out I gave her my Ulta Rewards card and coupon and was confused when she said that I didn't spend enough to qualify for the savings. With my best puzzled face I said how and she excitedly replied, 'OH! The Shampoo was on clearance for $2.49 and we're running a promo of an additional 20% off of clearance, so you're only paying $2.00 per bottle!'

Weleda: Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream Review

The very first thing I notice is, how thick these cream is yay and how much is smells like Sicilian Blood Orange.   Its a super sexy scent that reminds me of the vacation the BF and I took; the provided toiletries in our hotel were of the same aroma.   Alcohol is the third ingredient and it's presence is noticeable, first by smell and then by evaporation.  I feel heavy moisture with no grease. It has almost a powdery feeling. "Sun-soaked organic sea buckthorn oil is packed with essential fatty acids that lavishly moisturize. Pro-vitamin A and vitamin E, which smooth, soften and strengthen skin and antioxidant-rich organic sesame seed oil. With a citrusy fragrance from sun-drenched essential oils of mandarins, oranges and grapefruits." I can't stop smelling my hands and now I wish I would have been able to purchase more than one! Retailing for $11.00 I scored this 1.7floz tube at CVS on clearance for $5.49! The 100% recyclable aluminum vessel with the screw
