Indie Lee: Squalane Oil

This 100% olive derived Squalane Oil has changed my life.  Actually Indie Lee Skincare has changed my life but that's another post!  I got to know Indie and her amazing products through my work with Beauty Army.  Deeply intrigued I made the decision to purchase several of her items off of Hautelook one weekend and it was one of the best decisions of my life.  No joke. See my Indie Lee Hautelook haul here! If you follow me on twitter you know that I tweet all the time about how Indie, ClickR, Shea Terra and ControlCorrectives have changed my skin which in turn has changed my life.  Not embarrassed by my adult acne because I don't really have any. I'm more confident in front of the camera and I am actually filming more often too.  Do I still break out?  Sure little somethin' somethin' here and there, mostly around my cycle.  Do I have mammoth blemishes like I did just 3 months ago? Nope. Not since I went to good-for-me skincare.

LaRocca: Pumpkin Fleur de Sel Body Polish

This was ridiculous.  If you like pumpkin pie than this is the body polish for you!  An invigorating sea salt body polish with pumpkin and cinnamon to decongest dry rough skin, tighten and stimulate circulation leaving your skin glowing all over. I thought it was going to be very harsh because of the sea salt but it was extremely gentle yet very effective. I wish it more a but more exfoliating. The aroma of a freshly baked pie was insane; you wanted to keep scrubbing so you could continue to smell this product!!  It rinsed of cleanly and left my skin very soft and sweet smelling but not overpowering.  The scent didn't linger long after and I wore my daily perfume as usual. Introduced to me through my Beauty Army Kit from January 2012, I savored the 1oz sample and I will absolutely treat myself to a full size.  It is worth the $35 price tag!  The sample was in a plastic vessel with a screw top lid;  convenient for trial and travel. I rate this sample 4 out of 5 stars.

Chipless Longer

I'm not sure when or where I picked up this tip for it is not mine, originally.  I don't always use it but when I take the time to do it - my mani lasts 2 days longer. I apply my base coat as ususal and allow it 2 full minutes to dry.  Then I paint the edge of my nail and the tips only with one coat of the colour that I am wearing.  I let that dry for 2 minutes.  Then I apply 2 - 3 coats of my preferred shade as I would normally and follow up with my top coat.  That's it!  You might say to your self - why not paint 3 full coats? Because polish stays the longest when it seals over the edges of the cost underneath. Please leave me a comment and let me know if you tried it and did it work for you! And don't forget to follow me to the right --> xoxo •Nancy-Lee

OPI Nail Polish Haul!

I was on the hunt for swatching pallets for all of the new nail polishes I have acquired over the past 2 months.  While I was on Yelp, I came across a shop called Londoner Beauty and it was super close!  Their website was vague, to say the least, they only have a homepage but they have a high Yelp rating and excellent feedback so I felt it was worth a try.  I popped in and walked around for a bit.  The shop was spacious and very clean.  They had tons of great brands with lots of beauty products.  I wondered why I hadn't popped in before today?!

Sephora Haul: Skincare, Body care and Brushes

I had to return the pink train case that I ordered from Sephora.com and I can't simply return things to Sephora - I have to exchange them.  Which always leads to me spending more then the returned amount. I knew that I would have $60 to 'spend' as that was the cost of the traincase and I knew one item that I wanted specifically: DERMAdoctor MEDeTATE .  I suffer hyperhidrosis and these do wonders for me - they truly prevent the sweat from running down my arm.  Which is not sexy at all.   1 month supply, 30 packettes for $48.  Yep, I spend nearly $600 a year on prestige deodorant.  Because aside from Botox injections into my arm pits, this is the only thing that works.
