A Lil' Bellbottom Blues Bling

I had no idea this  was going to dry and look like liquid metal; I though it would be light blue with a silver frost.  Described as "a mixture of deep, midnight and electric blues," I think it is more simple than that.

It's '70's faded denim.  Fun and sexy.  Just like the rest of the MyFace Cosmetics products that I have been able to try.

I start off with one coat of Essie First Base, I allow it to dry for 2 minutes and apply one coat of Bellbottom Blues.  I notice the polish is a bit thicker than OPI I usually use but that's ok, I work carefully and slowly starting the application in the center of my nail, spreading the polish outward.  Immediately I see brush strokes and try to smooth them out but as I go back over the just painted area, I start to pull polish off of the nail in streaks.  This happens on every nail.  I don't panic.  I wait to see what result coat 2 brings.  And it brings success.  Admittingly I apply more polish than I normally would because it is unusually thick but it dries as clean as glass.

The polish was completely opaque.  The look was hot.  I attended a business event in Los Angeles and received many compliments, as this polish is so reflective it instantly catches your eye.  The vessel is glass and contains .5 fluid ounces.  I like nail polish that has a short applicator it holds less excess product which means less oopsies. And I'm less likely to knock the bottle over while I am wiping off the applicator.  My chief complaint? It chipped after 36 hours and by hour 48 one entire nail came off and half of another.  By the next morning, all of my nails we're chipped.

With these results, I rate this polish 3 out of 5 stars.  I would hope a $12 product would last longer than 2 days. If you love this look and want it to last longer, you could pair it with a clear shellac.

Have you tried the MyFace nail polish line?
Have you heard of MyFace Cosmetics?
