C'mon ladies, how many time have you seen a GWP at the makeup counter and been like, 'Damn I want that, but there isn't anything I need?'  And still you look for the possibility of a purchase, swiveling lipsticks to test on your hand, putting your fingers in shadows to feel their texture and see their pigments on your tips. I know.  Well, I'm not here to spend your money, I'm here to spend it more wisely.  That's right, you probably don't need another eyeshadow pallet or backup of anything.  When was the last time you purchased a high quality makeup brush for yourself? No? Only using sponge applicators or like me, you have a total of 5 brushes 2 of which you actually like?

How to Save at CVS

Extreme couponing isn't about buying 100 of 1 item and looking like a hoarder, it's about saving money for your family.  I don't just walk into CVS and save 90% it involves a bit of planning and a bit more patience.  Let me show you how I was able to come home with this: Four (4) wet Swiffer 12packs and three (3) 12packs of Charmin toilet paper for $6.95.

Revlon + Rite Aid

Rite Aid is partnering with Revlon and encouraging customers to Think Pink during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  

During a month-long "Beauty of Giving" campaign, fans of Rite Aid's Facebook page can honor someone affected by cancer by sharing their story and entering for a chance to name a new pink shade of Revlon nail polish in their honor. 

The “Your Story, Your Shade” contest will culminate with the two most compelling stories being featured on Rite Aid's Facebook page, with a vote in December to name the new shade based on the most compelling story. 

First-place winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to attend the Revlon Run/Walk in May. Also part of the "Beauty of Giving" campaign, Revlon is donating $1 from each Rite Aid sale of all specially marked high velocity shades of pink nail and lip products. All donations, up to a maximum of $25,000, will go toward supporting women’s cancer research.

Fashion Bash Sample Sale with Sassy City Chicks

I was looking for something different to do on a Friday night and Sassy City Chicks was hosting a sample sale - just up my ally!  I headed to San Francisco on September 16th and arrived at Fort Mason Center around 6:30 and was excited to discover no waiting! I checked in right away and was handed a sweet bag of swag.

Most famously known for solidifying Michelle Obama's place in Style Icon history, Jason Wu wasn't always designing gowns for First Ladies.  A self-taught seamster through clothing designed for dolls, Wu was already freelancing by 16 years of age under the line Jason Wu Dolls and later Fashion Royalty.

I could pretty much sum this up in one word: Yes.

I was born exactly when I was supposed to be; 2 weeks late and a few days into the correct sign.  I find that I want to tangent all over this topic and I'm not sure why that is so I'm just going to go with it.
