Red Carpet Glamour with Nordstrom

Saturday morning September 17th, I had the pleasure of attending the Nordstrom Fall trend show 'Red Carpet Glamour' at Valley Fair.  I was treated to a beautiful shiny shopping bag at the door with a bottle of Nordies water, pencil, brochure and contest card. No, I didn't win. This time!

#14 What you wore today:

I'm wearing a matching BCBG track suit.  It's black with pink stripes down the outsides of my legs and arms, not to mention lots of bling.  Actually, this is blingtastic.  Don't laugh it was expensive.  The pants were $120 and the jacket was $98.  Don't fall off your chair - I am a MaXXinista as well as a fashionCHICsta and I paid only $40 for the top and the bottom.  :-)  Best part? I didn't have to hem the pants.  They fit perfectly off the hanger and for me, that's a first!

What did you think I was going to say? I scored my very first Too Faced haul during their Vintage Sale!  WOOT!  9 Items for $32!!  Who was going to pass up $3 eyeshadows?  Not me.  Obviously.

30 Day Challenge ~ Lucky #13

#13 Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it.

It took me a very very long time to become comfortable with myself.  35 years to be exact.  I always felt I should have fit the mold and didn't realize just how unhappy I was making myself chasing this super-model dream.  And it wasn't even my body - it was everything.  I always longed to be more like someone else, for one reason or another.  Whether I knew the person or not.  If I was... sweet... smart... funny... pretty.. like________ life would be perfect.

Stila Grab Bag

My first Stila Grab Bag! I was super excited that I found @MorenaBarbee's tweet spilling the Grab Bag beans, I headed right over to Stila online and couldn't find it!  Then it occurred to me, that I probably have to add something to my cart for the option of the grab bag to pop up and I was right! Once I clicked the Add to Bag icon above, I was taken back to my cart where I disposed of the item that I used to initiate the grab bag option.  I only wanted the Grab Bag,  it was not in my budget to make an additional purchase.

#12 Five Guys Whom You Find Attractive.

This question is much harder than I thought it would be.  I was expecting to have five hotties roll right off of my finger tips but that's not what happened.  What is your definition of attractive?  Someone who is facially appealing, someone who is beautiful on the inside or a combination of both. Today my answer is celebrity vanity, I chose facial beauty.

My boyfriends best friend once said, "I look at Corey Maggette and say, 'Damn, That's what a real man looks like.'"
And that last one, is a 20 years old crush.

Missoni mayhem

I awoke at 6:30am, practiced Sadhana, showered and headed out to Target.  It was only once I was inside did I discover that the racks were already 90% bare, the website has crashed and New York sold out in 10 minutes flat.  Admittingly, a mix of emotions flooded through my body.  I feel anger that I 'missed out'.  Yet I feel utter shock at the sight of bare racks. It's Target people, did you even know who Missoni was before last month?  Last week?  Probably not - and Target was betting on it.  Betting on it with 400 different items ranging from dinnerware, sheets, bathroom accessories, suitcases, mens ties, woman's clothing, accessories and shoes.
