Clinique: Vitamin C Lip Smoothie

I like the product. It looks good, I received Mango-thon, a 'safe' peachy-brown, from one of their GWP sets. You turn-click the bottom 500 times and thick gloss comes out of a white bristle brush. I like the way it feels but it is a little too thick for me and tends to get a tad gummy over time.

It offers a nice shine and good coverage and feels good rubbing my lips back and forth but I feel like I am pulling my lips apart. And I can't stop thinking... Is it on my teeth?

It is also hard to wipe off. Because it is a little thicker, you should use makeup remover to rid all trace, a dry tissue drags too much.

I'm glad that I received this a GWP - I wanted to try it but didn't want to buy it.  And I won't - the formula is not right for me.

It looses the 1.5 stars because you can not see into the vessel, therefore you do not know you have run out... till it's all gone.  The consistency and the cost: $17.50.  3.5 out of 5 stars.

Unripened, Just as Sweet

Better late than never, right..... I purchased this as part of the Go Goth mini set from Fall 2010 but this is the first time that I have worn this shade.  Unripened has a blackish blue base and a hint of purple opalescence and in the mix is teal micro glitter.  It took only 2 coats in addition to my base and top.  The colour is clean and easy to apply.  The streak-free formula dried quickly and evenly.  I only wish the glitter was a little more visible once on the nail as it is in the bottle.  4 stars.

A Creamy Surge of Cranberry

Cranberry Cream from Clinique's Colour Surge Butter Shine collection is one of my favourite Fall shades. When I want rich drama - it is my go to staple. The first coat I apply lightly wait a few seconds then blot off with a tissue, really allowing those pigments to sink in to my lips - then I apply coat two.

This formula is very creamy with rich shine, not goopy shine like gloss. If I want super shine, Air Kiss gloss from Clinique is the BEST topper! This shade stays true all day and has never feathered it's way off of my lips. It is also very easy to remove. The silver toned vessel, shaped like a bamboo stalk, locks tight. I have never found the cap separated from the lipstick tube in my purse or makeup bag.

I will buy this again - I love it. So beautiful. xoxo 4 stars.

Clinique Stay Matte, Neutral

I have used this for +15 years!

I love this powder. LOVE IT. I actually own a silver compact called a "Forever Compact" that was refillable. Unfortunately Clinique no longer makes the refills or the compact. Anyhoo...

This powder offers light coverage with great shine control and oil absorption. The fragrance free formula is non-irritating and works on bare skin or foundation touch-up.

The mirrored compact comes with applicator, which you have to keep clean, especially if you are oily, or your oil transfer will cause those dark oil veins in the powder. I use MAC brush cleaner and clean the applicator every Sunday, when I clean the rest of my brushes. I will rebuy, no doubt! 5 out of 5 stars.

What a Show Off

I like this. The price, I do not. I am currently using the black, I also own Blue but have yet to try it on.  Since I clean my brush before every use, I always start with fresh product and my lashes are separated, lengthened and well coated. I use one coat wait 2 minutes and apply a second coat to the outside 1/3 only and I do not experience the glob.

So this is my secret to fighting dry out: Put some warm water in your sink and drop the tube in for about 2 - 3 minutes.  It will soften the product.  I also pull the wand out and wipe it off with a piece of TP, clean. Then I dip the wand back into the product and apply.

Let's face it - you SHOULD only keep mascara for 3 months, this is a big tube with a lot of product, so if you're emptying this tube with my method and your application prior to 90 days, you're using too much. lol.

At $24 I probably will not rebuy this 4 star mascara. I can't justify the results to the cost.
