Savings on the Back End

It's not all upfront savings, some times you have to put out cash and submit for
A) Manufacture MIR mail in rebates or
B) Store rebates example: Rite Aid Single Rebate Checks - SRC or
C) BOTH!  <-- The ultimate money maker because both of these are checks you ca$h

Yesterday at Rite Aid I came home with $126.34 in product and I spent $63.36 OOP / 49% savings. But that's not where my savings end!  I will receive $21.96 in MIR and $12.99 in SRC + I have $15.00 in UpRewards to use and I received a $4.99 GWP.  So that's $34.95 cash back in my pocket + $15.00UpR + $4.99GWP means this trip cost $8.42.

$8.42 is a 86% savings and here's how I did it:

Transaction #1
(4) boxes of VEET hair remover for the Body.  B2G$5
$9.99 each - $2.00 In-Ad - $2.00MFcoupon - 25¢ Ad-Perk @ $5.74 per box = $22.96
Buy 2 Boxes Get $5UpR - Limit 2.  This means limit 2 rewards NOT 2 boxes.
I bought 4 boxes so I received $10UpR.

(4) CoverGirl NatureLuxe lippy.  Buy One Get One 50% Off.
$14.98 per pair - $3.74promo - $5.00MFcoupon @ $6.24 per set = $12.48

(1) GasX $2.00SRC
$4.99 - $1.00MFcoupon - $2.00SRC = $1.99

(1) Blink! Eye Drops $7.99SRC
$10.49 - $2.50sale - $4.00MFcoupon - $7.99SRC = $4.00 Money Maker.

(1) Finesse Shampoo $3.00SRC
$3.99 - $1.00MFcoupon - $3.00SRC - $3.99 MIR Peelie = $4.00 Money Maker.

Transaction #2
(1) Finesse Shampoo $3.00SRC
$3.99 - $1.00MFcoupon - $3.00SRC - $3.99 MIR Peelie = $4.00 Money Maker.

Transaction #3
RenPure Shampoo MIR Peelie
$6.99 - $5.00UpR - $6.99 MIR = $5.00 Money Maker
This is a Money maker even though you receive a 100% rebate by mail because I used a $5Up leaving my OOP cost $1.99.  I paid $1.99 and I am getting a check for $6.99 - so I made $5.00 'profit'.

Transaction #4
Renpure Conditioner MIR Peelie
$6.99 - $6.99 MIR = FREE

Transaction #5
Charmin TP 12pk/Dbl roll
$9.99 - $3.00sale - $5.00UpR =  $1.99

RedBull Sugar Fee 4pk
$7.99 - $2.00sale - $5.00UpR = 99¢

I always look for packaging that will give me something for free. You have to bend down and look all the way to the back of the shelf!  Whether it is a percentage more of product "25% more Free" or a few more quantity "Was 32 Now 40 sheets"  Those promo packages really bring the cost down.  Example: The VEET hair remover strips for the body had (4) Free strips for the Face in the box.  I bought enough of those specially marked boxes to equal a full retail box of face strips, a $4.99 value.  Or as I see it, this GWP put $4.99 in my pocket. Do not sell yourself short - It is more of your money in your pocket - every little savings is relative to your success.

Please note:  Most, not all, MIR are (1) per household, I happen to have 2 households that I receive mail so I can sometimes qualify for 2 rebates - a la Finesse peelie.  You'll see this in my CVS posts, I shop for 2 people so I break down both purchases.

Do you have any questions about any of the transactions or how I rolled the UpRewards?
Do you understand the shorthand?
xoxo
